This is happening! A post...an outfit + THRIFTING post.
Whoa. I know.
So the other day, I got
this really awesome notification. You see, I'd found them. Finally. Boots. THE boots. Boots that I have been searching for going on a year. Tall. High quality. Leather. Flat(ish). Brown. Unique, but not overtly trendy...boots to have and to hold forever. Boots made for walkin'. I was looking for
my boots. And I found them: the most gorgeous pair of original Frye boots from the 70s at
Luncheonette Vintage. MINE! I called them. They had to be mine.
But you see, I was jazzed. Vintage high, ya'll. I love vintage, and wear little else, but it had been many a blue moon since I'd had the time/chance to do the digging, since I'd experienced that golden moment of having found a real treasure, and a total steal at the same time. Finding my perfect boots exhilarated me, and I wanted MORE. So I went on a little binge, waiting for my shipment, and I found these:
Shut up, get out. Perfect tribal-esque sandals, and (teehee, coinkidink) they are Fryes, too. Two-dolla-forty-cent Fryes. Can you even get fries for that anymore? (See what I did there? Guffaw.)
The biggest box ever came the very next day, and it was a happy Friday indeed, a double happy Frye day. So I played dress up, and, you know, did some prancing.
Welp, that was fun. Thanks for indulging me in my happy dancing. Many thanks to the wonderful and lovely Jana at
Luncheonette for being such a pleasure to work with. Be sure to go check out what she's got cookin' - especially this weekend as she's running a sale!
Ok, it's back to the bench for me. Have a spectacular weekend, everyone!
