FRUITERIA LAMP // Anthropologie via this pin
CITRUS PRINT COTTON TUNIC DRESS // Stella McCartney
While citrus are winter fruit, the juicy colors of lemons and oranges and grapefruit beckon the start of spring with their vibrant hues. I have been devouring clementines, which so strongly remind me of Italy; I can't stress how much their mouth-enveloping taste recalls for me my first stint there, the kilos and kilos that I devoured--utterly amazed at how wonderful they tasted, so good as to seem almost artificial. Delicious.
Anthro's lamp is a throw-back, so so so similar to one I had in my thrift-full house in college. It didn't work, but I scooped it up for its lovely bulbous shape, and of course, because it was my favorite shade of tangerine. Stella McCartney's citrus print enlivened her otherwise neat and clean Spring '11 Ready-to-Wear collection; it rather begs to be worn for a fruit smoothie post-beach, the light scent of coconut oil still on the skin...no?
These musing have ALSO gotten a lovely little song in my head, THAT TIME by Regina Spektor:
you remember that month when I only ate
boxes of tan-ger-ines...
so cheap and juicy!
Happy "Friday I'm in Love"...on Saturday! <3
